Dvorec Hamre se nahaja v naselju Breg pri Majšperku ob reki Dravinji, predstavlja izjemen primer baročne arhitekture iz prve polovice 18. stoletja. Gre za kulturni spomenik z bogato zgodovino, ki sega vse do srednjega veka, ko je na tem območju delovalo posestvo ptujskih minoritov. Današnjo podobo je dvorec dobil okoli leta 1735, ko je bil prezidan v zgodnjebaročnem slogu, značilnem za to območje. S svojo arhitekturno zasnovo, ohranjenimi detajli in umeščenostjo v prostor predstavlja pomemben del kulturne dediščine širše Dravinjske doline.

Objekt je enonadstropna stavba pravokotnega tlorisa z značilno baročno fasado, ki jo dopolnjujejo prizidki, med drugim kapelni stolpič in zimski vrt. Notranjost dvorca odlikujejo številni avtentični elementi, kot so štukature, kamniti tlaki, kovano stopnišče iz 18. stoletja ter ostanki zgodovinske opreme, kar prostoru daje izrazito reprezentativen značaj. Posebno vrednost ima zimski vrt z dekorativnim vodnjakom, ki ustvarja edinstveno prostorsko doživetje.

Dvorec je kljub zobu časa razmeroma dobro ohranjen, vendar potrebuje celovito prenovo. Obstoječe stanje razkriva poškodbe fasade in posameznih arhitekturnih elementov ter neustrezne predelave notranjih prostorov, ki pa jih je mogoče z ustreznim konservatorskim pristopom uspešno sanirati. Pripravljen predlog prenove predvideva odstranitev neustreznih posegov, restavracijo originalnih elementov ter prilagoditev prostorov sodobnim potrebam. Na severni strani je predviden diskreten sodoben prizidek, ki bi omogočil umestitev tehničnih in servisnih funkcij, ne da bi pri tem posegal v zgodovinsko integriteto objekta.

Zaradi svoje lege, arhitekturne vrednosti in razpoložljivega prostora dvorec ponuja številne možnosti nadaljnjega razvoja. Primeren je za ureditev butičnega hotela, reprezentančnega prireditvenega prostora, galerije ali vrhunskega gostinskega programa. Hkrati lahko služi kot kulturno središče z manjšimi razstavami, koncerti ali drugimi dogodki, ki bi oživili prostor in ga ponovno vključili v lokalno okolje. Hamre Manor, situated in the village of Breg near Majšperk on the banks of the Dravinja River, is an outstanding example of Baroque architecture from the first half of the 18th century. It is a listed cultural monument with a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, when a Minorite estate of Ptuj operated in this area. The manor acquired its present appearance around 1735, when it was rebuilt in the early Baroque style characteristic of the region. Through its architectural design, preserved details, and setting within the landscape, it represents a significant part of the cultural heritage of the wider Dravinja Valley.

The building has a ground floor and one upper floor on a rectangular footprint, with a characteristic Baroque façade complemented by later additions, including a chapel turret and a winter garden. The interior is distinguished by numerous authentic features, such as stucco work, stone flooring, an 18th-century wrought-iron staircase, and remnants of historical furnishings, lending the space a distinctly stately character. Of particular value is the winter garden with its decorative fountain, which creates a unique spatial experience.

Despite the passage of time, the manor is relatively well preserved, though it requires comprehensive renovation. Its current condition shows damage to the façade and to individual architectural elements, as well as unsuitable alterations to the interior spaces — all of which can be successfully remedied through an appropriate conservation approach. The proposed renovation plan envisages the removal of inappropriate interventions, the restoration of original features, and the adaptation of the spaces to modern needs. A discreet, contemporary extension is planned on the north side to accommodate technical and service functions without compromising the historical integrity of the building.

Given its location, architectural value, and available space, the manor offers numerous possibilities for further development. It is suitable for conversion into a boutique hotel, a prestigious event venue, a gallery, or a top-tier hospitality establishment.
